Hygienic / Life Science › Quick Connect Sensor Program
The Quick Connect sensor program is a modular hygienic temperature sensor platform that allows calibration and sensor replacement without opening the process, without tools and without production stop. Built for pharmaceutical, biotech, food and beverage production.
In GMP-regulated production, temperature sensors must be calibrated on a fixed schedule. Traditionally that means stopping production, opening the line and recleaning — every single time. Quick Connect removes all three steps.
The thermowell is welded or clamped into the line one time — in-line pockets arrive pre-welded in their own pipe section, pressure-tested to 40 bar and ready for orbital welding, so no certified welds or radiographic testing on site. Once in, it stays permanently.
The measuring insert releases through the tool-free bayonet coupling — by hand, in seconds. The process stays closed and the hygienic barrier stays intact.
The insert is calibrated in-house or at an accredited laboratory and clicked back in. No production stop, no recleaning, no welding — ever.
Every part of the program connects through the same coupling and shares standardised insert lengths — so components combine freely and spare-part inventory stays small.
Hygienic Quick Connect RTD sensors (Pt100/Pt1000, class B to 1/10 DIN) with interchangeable measuring insert — with or without integrated display.
Pre-welded pockets for pipes from ¼" to DN50, pressure-tested to 40 bar with engraved HEAT number and 3.1 certificate — ready for orbital welding, no certified welding on site.
Non-invasive Pt100 pipe sensors with the same quick-release philosophy — the sensor lifts off for calibration without touching the process. Ideal for retrofits and sterilization validation.
Interchangeable measuring inserts in standardised lengths across the program — one spare insert covers many measuring points. Cryo and ageing treatments for long-term stability.
Head-mounted 4–20 mA transmitters with HART 5 & 7 for remote diagnostics and predictive maintenance. Profibus and ATEX variants available. M12 connection throughout.

A quick connect temperature sensor is a hygienic sensor where the measuring insert connects to a permanently installed thermowell through a tool-free coupling. The insert can be removed for calibration or replacement while the thermowell stays in the closed process — no production stop, no opening of the line, no recleaning.
Yes. The bayonet coupling releases the insert by hand while the thermowell stays in the closed, pressurised process. The hygienic barrier is never broken, so production continues and no CIP cycle is needed afterwards.
Five product families: the RT-BCQ and RT-BCQ-D hygienic sensors (the D-version with integrated display), the pre-welded in-line thermowell for small-bore pipes, and the KP-COH and KP-COC non-invasive clamp-on sensors — plus interchangeable inserts and head-mounted transmitters shared across the program.
Yes. In-line thermowells are delivered pre-welded and pressure-tested to 40 bar, ready for orbital welding — no on-site certified welds or radiographic testing. Once installed, sensors are replaced tool-free via the Quick Connect coupling.
Media-contact parts are AISI 316L or 316Ti stainless steel, with SAF2205/SAF2207 duplex available for aggressive media. Surfaces are mechanically polished to < 0.8 µm Ra as standard, with electro-polishing to < 0.5 µm Ra available — minimising bacterial adhesion and supporting CIP/SIP cleaning.
The interchangeable insert is calibrated at three points, either in-house (−33…+700 °C) or at an accredited laboratory (−196…+1200 °C). Cryogenic and ageing treatments are available for improved long-term stability. Because only the insert leaves the line, a spare insert can take its place meanwhile.
Yes. Inserts come in standardised lengths shared across the program, so one spare insert type covers many measuring points — instead of one dedicated spare sensor per installation.
Tell us about your line — pipe dimensions, process connections, temperature range and documentation requirements — and we will put together the right combination of pockets, inserts and heads.
