Application
The RT-BCQ-D is the Quick Connect hygienic temperature sensor with a display in the head – protection head with display, interchangeable measuring insert and clamp thermowell in one unit.
The temperature is read at the sensor
The display sits in the protection head and reads the 4–20 mA loop, so the temperature can be read where it is measured. Four 7-segment digits, 8 mm high, to ±0.2 % of the measuring range. Range, decimal point, unit and TAG number are programmable, and the front is IP67.
The transmitter comes with the sensor
The display is fed by the 4–20 mA loop, so the RT-BCQ-D is supplied with a programmable head-mounted transmitter, 2-wire 4–20 mA, measuring range −200 to +850 °C, minimum span 25 °C. HART 5 & 7 or Profibus are available.
The insert comes out without opening the process
The measuring insert, type RT-BCQ-IN, is released by hand through the bayonet coupling while the clamp connection stays in place, so the measuring point can be serviced without opening the line. It is the same insert that fits RT-BCQ.
Part of the Quick Connect program
The RT-BCQ-D shares the bayonet coupling and standardised insert lengths with the other sensors and thermowells in the Quick Connect program, so one spare insert type can serve several measuring points.
