Application

Type B (RT-B/TC-B) is an industrial temperature sensor with an interchangeable measuring insert for pipelines, tanks and closed process systems – marine approved by DNV, LR, BV, ABS, NK and RINA.

What is the Type B temperature sensor used for?

The Type B measures temperatures in closed pipelines and tanks with gaseous or liquid media such as air, steam, gas, water and oil. The RT-B version (Pt100/Pt1000) covers up to 600 °C at up to 50 bar; the TC-B thermocouple version covers up to 1250 °C depending on the thermocouple type.

Can the insert be replaced without stopping the system?

Yes. The interchangeable measuring insert allows sensor replacement or calibration without removing the entire assembly, and standard lengths keep the number of spare parts to a minimum.

Is the sensor approved for marine applications?

Yes. The Type B is marine approved by DNV, LR, RINA, ABS, NK and BV.
