RC1/TC1 cable temperature sensor with a direct cable connection, shown alongside a dimensioned drawing
Type RC1/TC1 – a cable temperature sensor for direct installation or use as a removable unit in a thermowell

Application

Type RC1/TC1 is a cable temperature sensor for measuring temperature in air and industrial processes. RC1 uses a Pt100 or Pt1000 resistance element, while TC1 uses a type J or K thermocouple.

Installed directly, the sensor can be positioned using a compression fitting or adjustable flange. It can also be placed in a thermowell where the process or installation requires additional protection.

The direct cable connection suits measuring points with limited installation space. Different cable constructions can be selected for the operating temperature and surrounding conditions, while the vibration-resistant design supports mechanically demanding installations.

When used in a thermowell, the complete cable sensor can be removed for inspection or replacement while the thermowell remains installed in the process.

Where it is used
Air-conditioning and ventilation systems
Cold stores and refrigeration plants
